BOSS HEREFORD NETBALL LEAGUE
Panthers 31, Humfrys & Symonds 29: This was an excellent game between two evenly-matched teams.
H&S took advantage of excellent shooting from Barbara Preece and Vicky Price in the first two quarters, while outstanding centre-court play from Helen Thomasson and Claire Davies took them into a narrow lead in the last quarter.
Despite excellent defence from Naomi Taylor and Jacky Preece, Panthers just managed to overcome their rivals to win by two goals.
Beaumonts 51, Sixth Sense 27: Despite Beaumonts having only had six players, Sixth Sense were unable to stop their flowing play.
Dawn Raczowski controlled the centre-court area with excellent feeds to Marnie Wooderson, who worked well with Pam Emberton, who shot well despite being double marked for most of the game.
Defence was tight which cut down on Sixth Senses' scoring opportunities.
Aztec 51, Folbigg Flyers 26: Folbigg Flyers led after the first quarter due to good interceptions by Jane Davies in defence.
But Aztec took the lead in the second half and started the third with a succession of goals to over come battling opponents.
Monmouth 98, Sun Valley Chix 1: Monmouth were far too strong for a new side who have been struggling all season.
