I WAS deeply shocked to hear of the abortion of a 24-week unborn baby with a cleft palate.
As a qualified midwife I can support the claim that 'babies born as early as 25 weeks now have a good chance of surviving (BBC UK web site concerning prematurity).
What have we come to that a healthy baby could be aborted at this late stage? Can I urge any other readers appalled by this story to contact their nearest pro-life organisation and lend their support.
