WITH two matches completed of the four in the Winter League the Ledbury Men's C tennis team are once again finding it tough against strong opposition.
In the first match against Bodenham B, although 3 of the 4 rubbers went to 3 sets Ledbury could not secure a win. The match did however see two of our younger players, Eddie Jago and Philip Bradstock, team up to give a good account of themselves against experienced opposition.
In the second match Ledbury came up against strong opponents in Goodrich, new entrants to the league.
Goodrich fielded an experienced side which was capable of playing at a higher level and although both Ledbury pairs fought bravely the result was never in doubt.
With two matches remaining on December 7 and 14 it is hoped that results will improve.
