Bromesberrow Gardening and Social Club is thriving, with nearly 50 members at its annual meeting in the village hall.
Members heard that there was £600 in club funds. Of that sum, £200 will go towards funding professional speakers for the year ahead.
Social events planned for the New Year include a Burns Night and a village quiz.
The next meeting is on Thursday, December 11, in the village hall.
Club chairman Sara-Jane Watkins said: "The guest speaker will be Michael Leach from Herefordshire, who is a television presenter, lecturer and plantsman, and he will give a talk on winter colour within the garden.
"We will also be having a Christmas supper and would ask all members to bring a plate of food to share. The monthly competition will be the best floral Christmas decoration."
