Pershore Town 1 Wellington 6
A HAT-TRICK from Cory Hyde helped Wellington to a convincing win in their Midland Floodlit Youth League Southern Division clash at Pershore.
Rob Parsons flew through the home defence on 10 minutes before being brought down for a penalty which Hyde converted but Pershore hit back to level almost immediately and only Mike Craig's goal-line clearance prevented them from taking the lead.
Mat Maturi set up Hyde for his second just before the interval, however, as Wellington got back on track and there was still time for Paul Hughes to extend the lead before the half-time whistle went.
After the break, man-of-the-match Parsons came into his own and scored two fine goals before turning provider once again with the cross for Hyde's hat-trick goal.
