A SIX-month-old girl whose parents brought her to the UK to meet relatives died during her stay, a Hereford inquest heard.
Martha May Alexander-Ashford was plagued with medical problems through her short life and her parents, Mark Alexander and Tracy Ashford, saw a GP at the start of their stay in Craven Arms.
Even though little Martha had been cleared to travel by her doctor at home in Capetown, South Africa, her parents still sought advice and made sure they understood emergency procedures.
But the baby died in her cot on June 27 after an alarm monitor alerted her mother she was not breathing.
Mrs Ashford repeatedly tried to revive Martha until paramedics arrived but it was clear it was fruitless.
Pathologist, Nicholas Ostojic from Birmingham Women's Hospital said there was no evidence of injuries and no obvious cause of death.
Hereford coroner, David Halpern asked to convey his condolences to Martha's parents who had returned home to South Africa, before recording a verdict of natural causes.
