TWO members of Herefordshire's under-17 squad had something to celebrate despite failing to make the final in Sunday's West tournament at Millfield School.
Alistair Owen, who scored the Herefordshire goal in their third/fourth place play-off against Somerset, and Jon Mundy were selected for the West of England Performance Centre.
Despite some excellent work from goalkeeper Tom Beard in their opening match with Devon, Herefordshire fell two goals behind at the interval and eventually went down 3-0..
Herefordshire also fell a goal behind in the early stages of their play-off with Somerset but Owen's goal levelled matters before the turnaround and the match ended 1-1.
