CHILDREN invited visitors 'to take a seat' during a somewhat unusual exhibition at Kington Primary School last week.
Pupils worked alone and in pairs to design and create their own thrones as well as special chairs for people they know.
The design and technology project involved using different materials such as chicken wire, papier mache, corrugated cardboard and masking tape.
At the end of the exhibition the chairs will be made available to buy for a small contribution to school funds. Meanwhile, children will take a step back in time on December 5 from 3.30pm with a Victorian theme for the school's Christmas fair.
Organisers hope the weather will hold out for the fair to take place in the playground with an outdoor Christmas tree and roasted chestnuts.
