HEREFORD racing driver Greg Jenkins, who hit the headlines last month after winning the Rebels Racing 2003 World Wide Rebellion, has added two more titles to his impressive tally.
The 26-year-old from Bobblestock has carried off the National Points Championship, based on performance throughout the season, and, earlier this month in Ipswich, was also crowned National Champion.
The grid for the National Championship is determined by adding each driver's best scores for each month and after the count-up, Jenkins found himself in pole position. But he soon built on this, leading from start to finish in the 15-lap race to carry off the title.
The National Points Championship is determined by the results achieved over 28 of the season's 33 meetings. With three races taking place at each meeting, it means that a driver's talents and consistency can be measured over more than 80 races.
Jenkins, who finished third in the points chart last season, triumphed with a total of 1,721 points, 53 clear of his nearest rival, Lee Dimmick from Congleton.
Rebels Racing, with cars powered by 850cc Reliant engines, features around 30 cars at each of the 33 meetings which take place all over the country and in Holland.
