AT THE October meeting two ex Royal Marines enrolled as full members of the association and were given a warm welcome by members and received their customary "tot of rum". They are Trevor Childs and Deric Westwood both from Hereford. After the formal procedures of the meeting were completed Social Secretary, Ship Mate Tom Fitch, introduced from West Mercia Police, the Divisional Crime Risk Officer, Charles Naylor who gave a very informative and in depth talk relating to crime prevention. Our thanks go to Charles Naylor for providing members, who raised many issues, with a most entertaining evening.

The next branch meeting is 8 November starting at 1930 hours at the Hereford, Railway Club. We will be joined by the RAFA for a quiz night which was put back a month from the October meeting and we hope to retain the trophy we won last time.

If you would like to know more about the Association and its charitable works why not become a member like Trevor Childs and Deric Westwood have done. You would be eligible to attend monthly meetings, enjoy our numerous social events, Church Services, and most important of all be kept informed of all topics relating to the Association. So if you are a past or present member of the Royal Navy, Royal Marines, Royal Fleet Auxiliary, WRNS and QARNNS you may join as a full member or if you are interested in the Navy and naval traditions you would be most welcome as an associate member.
