STOURPORT 3pts,
Bromyard 17pts
BROMYARD enjoyed their break from the league with a hard-earned victory over their lower graded local rivals.
After two closely fought league matches last season this was never easy but Bromyard's youngsters won the day, the forwards in the loose were everywhere with Rich Harrison and Gareth Walsh especially prominent and with veteran Dave Mann to sure things up it was always Bromyard's day.
Ex-Tenbury player Tom Albert marked his full 1st team debut with a try and his centre partner Reg Dixon also went over, both tries converted by Stu Harrison who also notched up his own bit of history with a drop goal after only one in his career this was at least a five-year wait for the second.
Tomorrow (Saturday) Bromyard are at home to Redditch in a North Midlands One fixture (2.30).
BROMYARD II 24pts,
STOURPORT II 13pts
AFTER two hammerings last season Bromyard got their revenge with a comprehensive victory.
A very young side took the field for Bromyard but it was the experienced hooker Jamie Fryar who led the way with an outstanding all-over-the-pitch performance.
Bromyard scored three tries in the first half through Nick Frost and a brace from Ed Tomkins. In the second half Bromyard continued to dominate with second row Graham Williams dominant but could only manage one more try by Daniel Bond who was making his club debut. Nick Frost converted two scores but the last five minutes saw Bromyard lose concentration and concede two soft tries.
