Bromyard TOWN 0, WEDNESFIELD 0

HAVING beaten their opponents 5-1 away earlier in the season Bromyard will be disappointed not to have completed a West Midlands League Premier Division double.

But since their last meeting Wednesfield have appointed a new manager who has turned things around to produce a team who are difficult to beat.

Bromyard opened up with some crisp passing and excellent movement as both sides produced an enterprising start.

Striker Tony McLean broke clear and was only stopped by a fine save, while colleague Andy Crowther sent one effort just wide and saw another well saved.

Prompted by the new midfield pairing of recent signing Justin Ballinger and debutante Ben Humber, on loan from Stourport Swifts, Bromyard continued to dominate after the break.

Once again they were thwarted, Crowther by the woodwork and McLean by a good block and another excellent save.

Try as they might Bromyard could not find the net and joint manager Mike Pugh said: "It was one of those game when we created a lot but were destined not to win."
