FORMER player Chris Hyde has been appointed manager of Cherry Red Records Hellenic League Premier Division side Pegasus Juniors.
Hyde takes over from Paul Mann, who has been relieved of his duties following a disappointing start to the season which has seen them slump to bottom-but-one in the league table.
Mann's cause was not helped by a defeat last week by the only side below Pegasus in the table, Gloucester United, who had previously been without a win.
Forty-year-old Hyde, a well-known goal-scorer in local football, also made his mark at Gloucester City, Worcester City and Cinderford Town where he was assistant manager to Tim Harris as the Forest of Dean side progressed to the Southern League.
The pair also continued their association at Newport AFC in the Dr Martens League Premier Division.
