Grosvenor Park 1 Westfields 2
WESTFIELDS continued their recent impressive Midland Alliance League form with a third consecutive victory, Mark Hibbard bagging a brace as the visitors came from behind to notch a win which has taken them into the top half of the table.
Grosvenor Park played an effective off-side trap but Roy Jordan broke through only to see his shot blocked.
At the other end the dangerous Lester Taylor raced clear but was foiled when Jon Pugh made a superb, full-length diving save.
After the interval Fields opened up and put sustained pressure on the home goal with Craddock and Jordan both having shots blocked by a stretched Grosvenor Park defence.
However, Taylor rocked Westfields when he collected a loose ball near the centre circle and raced past three defenders to beat Pugh with a fierce, low drive.
Within five minutes Westfields were back on terms when Craddock forced a corner, which resulted in Hibbard firing home from a crowded goalmouth.
Westfields pushed up but Grosvenor Park were always dangerous on the break, Pugh again saving his side with a brilliant stop.
The decisive goal came in the 82nd minute when Matt Beale was brought down in the box and Hibbard coolly converted the penalty.
