Westfields 2 Ledbury Town 3
WESTFIELDS hopes of completing a hat-trick of HFA County Challenge Cup triumphs this season were dashed by the Preedy brothers, Duncan and Phil, who came on as late substitutes to turn the game for lower-graded Ledbury.
They scored in the 88th and 89th minutes to knock out the trophy holders who had twice taken the lead in the third-round clash.
Derek Craddock opened Westfields' account with a 20-yard lob in the 35th minute and then Ledbury goalkeeper Adam Penny pulled off two good saves before his side pulled level within a few minutes.
Robbie Colwell broke free on the right and unleashed a fine finish to beat Jon Pugh in the Hereford club's goal.
Both sides made second-half substitutions but Westfields' Paul Price was only on the field for two minutes before being sent off for a late tackle on Duncan Preedy.
Although down to 10 men, the home side went ahead from Mark Hibbard's 80th-minute penalty after Craddock was brought down.
But Ledbury stormed back and equalised when Duncan Preedy met a right-wing cross and unleashed a 25-yard volley which went in off the underside of the bar. A minute later his brother, Phil, prodded home the winner from another cross from the right to book a place in the semi-finals.
