SPINNERS KNIT FOR OXFAM - Members of Bridstow Spinners have completed their ninth blanket for Oxfam and number ten is currently in the final stages of completion. Many people in the world lack even the most basic means to keep themselves warm in the bitter winter weather and blankets such as these are always needed. The Abergavenny branch of Oxfam has donated generous quantities of wool towards the project and they also undertake to deliver the finished blankets to people in desperate need throughout the world. Bridstow Spinners meet at Bridstow village hall at 10am, every Tuesday, with their spinning wheels to share their interest in this absorbing and satisfying hobby. Newcomers are always made very welcome whether experienced or total beginners.
