SCHOOL - Classes 1 & 2 went to Clifford Primary School and enjoyed a wonderful puppet show The Rainbow Forest by Lempen Puppets as part of their topic work. Class 5 recently visited the Courtyard Theatre for a science and energy demonstration where the children were involved in various experiments with chemicals involving light and heat and making electricity. A big thank you goes out to all those who made up Christmas boxes for a needy child in another part of the world. More than 70 boxes were collected from the children with the help of the Day Care Centre. The boxes were collected by Operation Christmas Child. Clifford School is supporting BBC Children in Need by having a wear what you like day today (Friday) where the children may wear their own clothes to school for a donation of £1 to the Children in Need Appeal. The school will be hosting their annual Christmas Fayre on Saturday, November 29, at Peterchurch Community Centre from 2 pm. There will be several stalls including gift stall, plant/produce, cakes, nearly new, bric-a-brac, tombola, treasure hunt, plus refreshments and lots more.
