PARISH COUNCIL - At the October meeting of the Parish Council Mr Richard Finney of the Marches Housing Association gave a short presentation on the work of the Association and their proposed development of affordable housing in Kingstone. A donation of £300 will be given to Dore Community Transport to help keep the scheme operating for the benefit of the elderly and disabled people of the two parishes.
At the meeting on November 12, recent problems with vandalism in the village were discussed with Caroline Fitzgerald, the community Support Officer, and once again she asked that anyone with useful information to pass on should contact Crimestoppers or Hereford Police. Hereford Council has amended the proposed traffic-calming scheme on the B4349 owing to objections received after consultation. The scheme will now be submitted to Cabinet and work is unlikely to start until next year.
