HEREFORDSHIRE'S young rugby players are continuing to make their mark in representative matches.
In the latest games flanker Guy Thompson has helped North Midlands 18-Group Schools to an unbeaten run, while hooker Chris Condliffe has been a member of the North Midlands Under-19s.
This follows good performances from George Thomas, Robert Lewis and skipper James Lindsay for North Midlands 16-Group Schools.
Hereford-based Thompson, now at Bromsgrove School, scored four of North Midlands' five tries in a 32-15 win over Warwickshire at Broadstreet on Monday.
It was their third consecutive win and they complete their season at 18-age group level against Staffordshire at Droitwich next Monday, kick-off 7.30pm.
Luctonians player Condliffe gave an impressive performance for the Under-19s to finish their short season with a creditable 14-14 draw against a strong Yorkshire side at Billesley on Sunday.
The draw marked an upturn in North Midlands' fortunes after they surrendered the Midlands Championship to old rivals Warwickshire in their previous outing.
A number of players took their chance to impress the county Under-20 selectors who are in the process of assembling a provisional squad.
