BROADBAND internet access will be available for Bromyard businesses and home owners from February, 2004.
Worcester company Serv-IT will provide the Air-Band digital connection.
Around 40 Bromyard business have already signed up for the service, which will cost £28 pounds a month for businesses and £20 a month for residential users.
Rob King, project manager for Serv-IT, said a broadband service in Bromyard would attract new businesses to the town. He added that companies could get Government grants to pay installation charges.
The Air-Band service will allow information to be beamed from a local mast to a small antenna on the outside of a property.
Bromyard has not been able to receive BT broadband because of a lack of people signing up for the service. So far 123 people in Bromyard have registered their interest.
