The town bonfire last Friday is being hailed as a great success by organisers, Ledbury Round Table.
Around 1,500 people turned up at the Ledbury Park venue on a mild November night with clear skies.
Round Table secretary Anthony Halls said: "It couldn't have been better. It was a very good evening. Last year was a quiet year, but this time was exceptional."
The Round Table is looking at a profit from the event in excess of £4,500. Proceeds will be divided among local charities, still to be announced.
The success comes after an emergency appeal to finance the event. This was answered by Andrew Crokey, of the High Street business Insight IT Solutions, who stepped forward with £1,000 in sponsorship. Other Ledbury businesses contributed £465.
