THERE was disappointment for Herefordshire's wheelchair tennis stars Janet McMorran and Matthew Faucher at the Nottingham Indoor Wheelchair Tennis Tournament.
McMorran lost 6-2, 6-2 to third seed Sharon Clark, of the United States, in her quarter-final after progressing to the last eight with a 4-6, 6-2, 7-5 win over Yuka Chokyu, of Canada.
Faucher lost 6-4, 6-1 to Lahcen Majdi, of France, in the first round of the men's competition and also bowed out at the first stage of the doubles when he and Paul Simmons went down 6-2, 6-0 to Ralph Weisang (Germany) and Peter Wikstrom (Sweden).
