Wolverhampton United 1 Bromyard Town 3
BROMYARD came from behind to continue their excellent recent form in the West Midlands League Premier Division and record their fifth win and make further progress up the table.
After an evenly matched opening quarter, Wolves took the lead when Bromyard failed to pick up a free-kick into the box and left a home striker with a close range tap-in.
Within three minutes the visitors were back on terms when Chris Allen volleyed home a right-wing cross from Andy Crowther, and two minutes later they went ahead with possibly the club's goal of the season.
Wolves could only half clear a Bromyard corner and defender Danny Hilditch moved up to strike a sublime volley from 35 yards which flashed into the net as the goalkeeper was starting his despairing dive.
The game was all but over three minutes after the interval when a fine break down the left by Tony McLean saw him send over a deep cross which leading scorer Crowther met to fire home his 10th goal of the season.
Bromyard relaxed but easily held out for a deserved win.
