Kington Town 0 Tipton 3
KINGTON were not at their best for this top West Midlands League Premier Division clash against a strong side that leapfrogged their hosts to head the table.
Tipton tested the home team with a couple of purposeful attacks, while Kington countered with some useful passing but could not find the final pass to open up a well-organised defence.
The opening goal came from a controversial penalty after a scramble in the Kington box.
Kington responded to manager Mick Panniers' half-time team talk and lifted their game but still could not crack the Tipton rearguard.
A free-kick just outside the home box provided Tipton with a two-goal cushion when goalkeeper Rory Hollingshead saw the ball late and was unable to get to the well-placed, curling shot.
Home heads dropped when Tipton scored a third goal when a cross from the left went unchallenged and fell invitingly to a visiting striker who forced the ball home.
