COMMUNITY SHOP - The Community Shop in Skenfrith closed at the end of October. Once the weather gets colder, the shop closes and is scheduled to reopen at Easter.
LOCAL HISTORY - the Bill Macadam History Group has started again. There are usually six or seven meetings held during the winter months, between October and March/April. Meetings are held at Hilston Park. The meetings start at 7.30pm, and are always on a Friday. At the first meeting, Keith Kissack gave a most interesting talk on life in Monmouth during the Second World War. At the next meeting on November 21, Chris Barber will talk about the Black Mountains and diarist the Rev Francis Kilvert.
