Leadership challengers Essington quickly took the lead with a penalty followed by three tries.
Greyhound replied with tries from Martin Ackley and Tundi Awoyemi and a conversion by Patrick Hill.
l Hereford 2nd went down 38-22 away to Bridgnorth 2nd who surged ahead in the closing stages.
Hereford scored tries through Ben Forbes, Lino Marifono and Asa Chung, while Lyndon Day kicked two conversions and a penalty.
l A late try by Luke Malone, converted by Sean Day, gave Hereford Under-16 a 15-12 win at Worcester. A try by Austyn Morgan and penalty from Morgan Goodall made up the tally.
