DILWYN sculling brothers Daniel and Niklas Middleton struck double gold in the prestigious Pangborne Junior Sculls.
The brothers, who are both pupils at Weobley schools, were seeking to improve on wins last month at Evesham over the 2.5 mile course near Reading at a meet which attracted 470 of the best club and school single scullers.
Daniel, sent off third in the junior13 event, quickly overtook his leading rivals and drew away from the 20-boat field to win by 1 min 45 sec.
Niklas, as a new entry in the junior-11 class, started last but picked his way past seven rivals to finish 1 min 27 sec clear of the field in a winning time of 10 minutes.
The gold medal wins took the family's tally for the year to 42 for their London club Tideway Scullers.
