TWELVE-YEAR-OLD Tim Hanks has been named as the new head chorister of Hereford Cathedral School. Tim succeeds Liam Dunachie who left at the end of this year's Three Choirs Festival.
Tim, who lives in Hereford, will be joined in his duties by 13-year-old Alex Valentini from Leominster who takes over from James Tompkins as deputy head chorister.
The Dean of Hereford, the Rev Michael Tavinor, formally installed both boys, who took up their positions at a special choral evensong. s
