THE 12th century church of St Peter's at Bromyard will be candle-lit on Saturday when violinist Mike Burnham and ballad singer Meg Lawrie perform spiritual songs and Celtic-inspired airs.
Mike is from Bromyard and combines a classical technique with his love of traditional folk music. Meg, from Worcester, plays the violin, viola, guitar and piano as well as being an All-England and Ireland champion ballad singer.
Their programme, which starts at 7.30pm, features items from their new CD Breath of Good. Proceeds go to the St Peter's repairs fund and to Sister Mary Joseph's Convent in Lithuania.
Tickets at £5 include a glass of wine and are available in advance from Food for All, 12 High Street, Bromyard (01885 483359). They will be £6 at the door.
