OB LOSSES, dead unburied: Forecast in CofE cash crisis.
Startling headlines bound to add fear and confusion to the hearts and minds of many elderly residents, who face so much uncertainty.
To pick up on the remarks made by the rural dean: "It really is serious and unless we take a good look at ourselves, the problems are going to get worse."
One does not need to be a prophet to believe he is speaking truthfully.
Crisis sounds a familiar word but I suggest the greatest crisis in not financial. The size or lack of congregations is the main reason for crisis in the CofE.
Would the rural dean be prepared to ask himself what is the reason for this?
Please don't put the blame on the masses of people out there in the city who have desperate needs that only God in Christ can meet.
I can name two churches where several services have to be held every Sunday because of the size of congregations, filled with people who are discovering that He in Christ is fully available and is meeting their every need.
Finance is not the problem where God is moving by His Holy Spirit, no just the opposite to the one highlighted in your news article.
How we are going to seat them is a somewhat more exciting problem if we dare to call it such. Revive Thy work Lord!
