Bromyard got off the mark last night with an emphatic 5-1 away victory at Wednesfield Town in the West Midland League Premier Division.
WEDNESFIELD TOWN 1, BROMYARD TOWN 5
Bromyard took the game to the ex-Midland Alliance team and opened the scoring on the tenth minute when Andy Crowther scored the first of his four goals after some good build up play.
Seven minutes later Crowther struck again pouncing on a poor back pass to Wednesfield's keeper. Crowther completed his hat-trick with a tremendous strike from the edge of the box from a Chris Allen through ball.
After the interval Wednesfield tried to get back into the game but Bromyard extended their lead when Jon Hayward stuck on 60 minutes.
Poor marking gifted Wednesfield a consolation goal ten minutes later but it was Crowther again who wrapped up the scoring with nine minutes left to play to give Bromyard the well deserved points.
Tomorrow (Saturday) Bromyard Town visit Ross in the HFA Challenge Cup (2pm).
