Ledbury Swifts travelled to play Evesham Robins in their final pre season friendly on Saturday.

Last season Swifts were runners up in the Herefordshire Junior Football League whilst Evesham were the champions of the Mercian Boys League. A tough game was anticipated, as Evesham had been unbeaten in all of their league games last season.
The Swifts were strengthened by the return of goalkeeper Alex Parker, midfielder Adam Paske and their captain Jack Cooney.
Swifts took control of the game and were 4-0 up at half-time with goals from Adam Paske (two), Jon Clayton and Charlie Barrett to give Swifts a 4-0 half time lead.
In the second half the Robins briefly threatened the Ledbury goal but Swifts hit back with further goals from Sam Keetch (two), Jon Clayton, and Charlie Barrett with Robins hitting two late goals.
Tomorrow (Saturday) Swifts start their new season in Herefordshire Junior Football League when they entertain Hereford Junior Dynamos kick off is at 11.30 am.
