Ledbury will be blooming even more from this weekend, thanks to the formation of the Ledbury Floral Art Club.
Its first meeting is due to take place this evening (Friday), from 7.30pm, at Ledbury Community Centre, off Lawnside Road.
Club spokesman, Judy Street said: "There will be a short business meeting to form a club and appoint a committee to run it until our first general meeting. There will then be a flower arranging demonstration by Julie Pearce, area demonstrator for the National Association of Flower Arranging Societies, on the theme of "A Sporting Life".
Mrs Street, of Progress Close, is well-known as the organiser of last year's successful Golden Jubilee Flower Festival at St Michael and All Angels' Church.
One idea she has is for the church to host a similar large-scale flower festival twice a decade, and the formation of the Ledbury Floral Art Club could assist in keeping the standards high.
The doors of the Community Centre will open at 7pm and admission per person will be £2.50, to include the price of a glass of wine.
