MANAGER-of-the-month Graham Turner is calling for his Hereford United side to maintain the level of desire and discipline which has put them top of the Nationwide Conference table, writes Ian Morgan.
Turner, voted the Conference's top boss for August, does not want his high-flying team to lower their work-rate against struggling Farnborough Town at Cherrywood Road on Saturday.
He said: "Farnborough are one of the less fancied sides in the Conference. It would be disappointing now that, if having gone unbeaten against some of the better sides in the Conference, we do not pick up at least a point at Farnborough.
"I am not being disrespectful to Farnborough because Tommy Taylor is an experienced manager and an experienced player from his West Ham days. They will be well organised and battling and we have to be ready for them."
Striker Danny Carey-Bertram, who has been sidelined with a leg strain, has shown signs of improvement this week and could be named in the squad. Jay Lovett, who spent a loan period at United last season, is expected to feature in the Farnborough squad.
Meanwhile, Aldershot Town have been sent letters of complaint by some Hereford supporters for alleged improper gestures by midfielder Fiston Manuella during the match at Edgar Street in August.
Aldershot boss Terry Brown is said to be investigating complaints that the midfielder made gestures towards the home supporters during the match, which Hereford won 4-3.
Hereford's away clash with Chester City on Saturday, October 18 has been made an all-ticket affair.
