Tividale 0 Wellington 1

DESPITE having to reshuffle their side, Wellington produced another excellent team performance to maintain their unbeaten start to the season in the West Midlands League Premier Division with their second win in five outings.

Kicking up the slope and against the wind in the first half, Wellington's defence was once again in fine form with stand-in keeper James Panniers bringing off one particularly spectacular tip onto the crossbar in the 10th minute.

The value of this solid performance was increas-ed when Kenny Styles fired home from an Eddie Wells corner to give Wellington the lead.

The home team launched the ball forward with some purpose in the second half, but with the defensive unit in mean mood and Andy Price working tirelessly in midfield, Wellington held on with something to spare.
