A HEREFORDSHIRE woman and her granddaughter are big-time losers - and both are delighted!

Gran Judy Kingston looked on sadly as self-conscious Amy Chadwick 'hid' behind other people. Now, after a remarkable dieting success story the pretty teenager is out in front, turning heads.

Miserable and unsociable 'diets' were the story of Judy's life - until healthy eating helped her and Amy lose more than 13 stone between them.

Friends barely recognise the pair after two-and-a-half years of sensible eating with Weight Watchers changed their lives.

Seventeen-year-old Amy, of Dinedor, lost nearly six stone having decided to join up after she saw her grandmother losing weight.

Proudly telling the Hereford Times how Amy turns heads everywhere she goes, Judy added: "You would not recognise her as being the same girl. Before she lost her weight she was always behind her mother and me - now she is right out in front. It has made such a difference to her."

Now Amy has just started at Hereford Sixth Form College where she is studying dance and drama.

Praising their Weight Watchers advisors, Jacqui and Suzette, Judy said: "You can't really do this sort of thing without a good leader - someone behind you."

Judy believes the secret to her success is that she is still able to enjoy her 'treats' such as red wine and mini chocolate bars, using the points system implemented by the group.

"For me I think it was the fact that I could still have my red wine. Not having it is so miserable and unsociable. I could fit a healthy eating programme around that - we all need something to look forward to.

"Dieting is the story of my life but the difference is that this time it's forever. With the Weight Watchers diet it is so easy to live a normal life."
