FOUR Herefordshire community projects have received more than £12,000 between them in the latest round of grants from the Lottery's Awards for All.

The biggest individual award of £5,000 has gone to the St Francis Initiative, towards a project to research the cultural and creative development needs of people in early and later years receiving special care and their carers in South Wye, Hereford.

The grant will pay for salaries and administration costs.

Brampton Abbotts Primary School has £2,550 for a range of out of hours fitness activities for adults and young people in the Springfield and Ross-on-Wye areas.

The grant will pay for tennis equipment and coaching sessions, tae-kwon do and line dancing instructors.

Orleton and District Short Mats Bowling Club, meanwhile, has received £1,634 to pay for indoor bowling equipment.
