A SUBSTANTIAL reward is on offer for information resulting in the return of an antique mahogany dining table stolen from a house in Allensmore.
The early Victorian oval-shaped table, worth about £6,000, was taken during the night of Tuesday August 26.
Owner Lesley Barrat has offerd £1,000 for information leading to the its safe return.
"It's a family heirloom and has great sentimental value. I can promise anyone who contacts me will be dealt with in strictest confidence."
Seven feet long when fully extended, the table has distinctive claw-shaped feet with a decorated surround. Another unusual feature is its winder mechanism.
A large grandfather clock was also stolen.

Meanwhile, police are appealing for witnesses to another burglary in the Allensmore area on the same night when a green Kawasaki 300cc quad bike was stolen from an agricultural building.
