Discover the difference between aquatint and mezzotint, intaglio and lithography, engraving and etching.
Over 100 free places on "taster" fine art printmaking sessions are being offered by The Sidney Nolan Trust to take place over the two weekends of Herefordshire Art Week, September 13-14 and 20-21.
The short, introductory sessions are suitable for artists and non-artists alike and are aimed at adults who want to find out how etchings and other intaglio prints are made.
Sessions will last between one hour and a half-day and there will be opportunities for those who want to make their own plates and print them.
For those who prefer to watch and learn there will be study sessions and practical demonstrations on the Trust's full-size etching press.
To book call Anthony Plant on 01544 267362 between 9 and 5. The sessions take place in a restored 16th century Tithe Barn at the Trust's premises, The Rodd, between Kington and Presteigne.
