Ledbury continued their early season's West Midlands Premier Division promise with a well earned three points on Saturday.
MARKET DRAYTON TOWN 2, LEDBURY TOWN 4
Ledbury opened the scoring in the first minute when Duncan Preedy's through ball was volleyed home from 12 yards by Rob Colwell. Midway through the half Drayton equalised when Welch's cross ball was intercepted by Timmings. He broke clear and Fed Reynolds' first effort was well saved by Dimitrov, but Reynolds then forced home the rebound.
The Market Drayton goalie then made a brilliant save from Niel Gardiner as Ledbury picked up the pace and went in front just on half time when Jamie James scored a brilliant headed goal from Duncan Preedy's cross.
Ten minutes into the second half James increased Ledbury's lead his first effort coming back off the post. He followed up to score Ledbury's third. Ledbury then hit the bar twice through Stu Hall and James following up saw the woodwork deny him a hat-trick. Ledbury were then rocked back on their heels when Drayton pulled a goal back when Timings' cross-come-shot deceived Dimitrov in the Ledbury goal. But Ledbury soon restored their lead when good work between Mason and Hall set up Rob Colwell to shake off his defender and drive home from 12 yards.
