MONEY from the sale of Bromyard's old public hall has finally been handed over.
Bromyard and Winslow Town Council has given the public hall management committee £54,025. It will be used to improve the new building.
Mayor Pearl Briggs said: "As a town council we are very pleased that the sale of the old public hall has gone through.
"We wish them every good luck in the future. They've a lot of very good ideas about what they can use it for."
Management committee member David Hugman said: "We've only had one meeting about what to spend the money on and there are various ideas under discussion.
"We're relieved to be solvent but there's such a lot of to be done to the hall.
"We're now trying to sit down an work out what to do in a logical sequence."
