A Ledbury branch of the University of the Third Age will be officially launched next month.
Almost 100 people expressed an interest in forming a branch, which will cover the town and surrounding area.
The meeting is on Thursday, September 11, at 10.30am at Wellington Heath Village Hall.
A variety of activities are planned, including computing, local history, gardening, poetry, painting, music and walking. Regular meetings will be held with invited guest speakers.
The annual membership will be £8, or £14 for a couple.
The U3A is a movement committed to providing a self-help, low-cost learning co-operative for older people no longer in full time employment.
