THE Ledbury area saw its warmest July since 1995, according to local weather watcher Norman Selkirk
Although a little rain fell on the first day, the first half of the month remained dry. The hottest days were on July 14 and 15, at 32.2C and 32.8C respectively. The coldest was 7.8C on the night of the 25th.
A total of 48.9mm of rain fell during the month. This brings the total for the year so far to 289.3mm, lower than recent years.
Dymock proved even warmer, reaching 33C on July 15, according to village weather watcher Tony Denby. A total of 58.7mm of rain fell, the wettest day being the 25th at 14.5mm.
