GARDENERS put the dry conditions behind them to create a beautiful display for Ledbury Flower Show.
The event was held at the Community Centre on Monday, when the town was full of visitors for the carnival. Around 750 people enjoyed the display.
Entries totalled 360, the highest for several years, with the children's section in particular seeing a big rise, thanks to the support of Urchins children's club.
Judges commented on the high quality of exhibits, particularly leeks, dahlias and pot plants.
George Trigg won the best exhibit in the vegetable classes for his three leeks. He also won the prize for a collection of six kinds of vegetables, the Garden News top tray, vegetable points cup and the Three Counties onion championship.
The best exhibit in the flower classes went to a vase of kenona sunset dahlias grown by Les Thick. Mr Thick also won the dahlia points cup, most points in flower classes, the Garden News top vase and begonia cup.
The Feathers Hotel cookery cup for most points in the cookery classes and the challenge cup for most points in pot plant classes went to Anne Symonds.
Hannah Bloxome won the prize for most points in the children's section.
Organisers say they have several photographs entered by people but not collected on the day.
