THE Ledbury in Bloom committee will know this afternoon (Friday) whether the town has triumphed once more in the regional finals of the Britain in Bloom competition.
Ledbury is the defending champion and, as last year's overall winner, is representing the Heart of England region in the national contest, although the results of that will not be known until next month.
Chairman Tom Deane was travelling to Coventry Cathedral today to hear the Heart of England regional results alongside mayor Keith Francis and mayoress Pam Juckes.
Mr Deane said: "On the Heart of England judging day, Ledbury looked splendid and the town responded magnificently.
"Although we have high hopes, we must not be over confident, because other towns have high standards. Let us hope that all goes well."
The national result will be announced in the Guildhall, in London, on September 30.
