GRAHAM Turner insists there is no need for Hereford United to panic despite their poor run of form.
The Edgar Street side entertain Barnet tomorrow (3pm) looking for their first league win since October 8 and with just one point from a possible 18.
Bulls manager Turner is boosted by the return to fitness of Ben Smith and John Grant who both returned to action in last week's 1-0 defeat at Dagenham & Redbridge but Danny Williams (knee) and Matt Clarke (knee) are both doubts.
Victory is essential for Turner's team if they are to stay in contention for a play off spot but United's manager is not unduly alarmed by their fall to 10th spot in the Nationwide Conference.
"The league table changes rapidly as we have found with our bad run of results but if we can string a few wins together then the reverse can happen," he said.
"However there is no room for anxiety about our position and that is something we won't contemplate."
Turner's task will be to turn decent performances into results and he will be demanding his players sharpen up inside the penalty area to end a run of four games without a single goal.
"It is vital we start getting results again," he said.
"You can't always blame luck we need better finishing, to be more alert in the box to pick up ricochets and rebounds.
"We have not been playing badly performance wise but have not been getting results and just need a little more self belief and that is important with a young squad because the confidence can start to go."
The Bees are managed by the vastly experienced Peter Shreeves -- a former Spurs manager --and he has seen his side lose just two of their last 11 league matches.
Shreeves has brought in Welsh U21 international Michael Price from Hull City on loan and with their reputation for playing football, Turner is expecting a different type of game to last week's encounter with Dagenham.
"The impression I have of Barnet is that they like to get the ball down and play," he said.
"In the Conference there is a stark contrast in styles of play and last week against Dagenham it was a real tough battering ram -- they launched it forward at every opportunity -- but Barnet will be a different proposition."
Meanwhile Hereford have launched an appeal to the Football Association over Andy Tretton's dismissal at Dagenham last week.
They are also trying to rearrange a fixture for next Saturday with scheduled opponents Margate in FA Cup action.
United's Boxing Day match at Telford United will kick-off at 1pm.
FORMCAST: All square 1-1.
