Hereford United can make up for Saturday's lost revenue with victory over Nationwide Conference leaders Yeovil Town in the rearranged FA Trophy third round tie at Edgar Street tonight (7.45).
The Bulls' hopes of attracting their biggest home gate of the season were dashed when an early morning pitch inspection found that their Edgar Street pitch was still frozen.
A bumper gate of more than 4,500 fans had been expected to make the trip.
Bulls director Joan Fennessy estimated they may have lost as much as £8,000 due to the match being called off.
Another important and potentially lucrative home tie awaits Graham Turner's team against Lancaster City or Morecambe on February 1 if they can get past the Glovers tonight.
Club skippers Ian Wright and Terry Skiverton return for their respective teams.
Wright is likely to be on the bench after missing Hereford's 2-0 home win over Telford United on New Year's Day due to illness.
The Glovers' influential captain Skiverton has had stitches removed from a knee injury and the defender is expected to return to the Trophy holders' line-up.
In-form Hereford will be without the services of full-back Matt Clarke who will be forced to sit out the tie following a knee operation.
Former Walsall trainee Richard Teesdale is expected to replace Clarke at right-back while Danny Williams and Steve Guinan will play their last games before being banned for Saturday's game against Gravesend and Northfleet.
Hereford are unbeaten in their last six matches and boss Graham Turner said: "It should be a cracking tie. Yeovil are flying in the league and have two former Hereford players, Gavin Williams and Michael McIndoe, in their team."
The two clubs have already met at Edgar Street in the league this season but there was little to choose between the sides as they fought out a goalless draw in September.
Yeovil manager Gary Johnson today spoke of his team's desire for another good run in the Trophy: "It's a huge game that will see one of the favourites out of the competition at the end of it. We aim to make sure it isn't us."
If tonight's game is drawn, the replay will be at Huish Park next Tuesday, January 21.
