UNBEATEN Wellington Nomads wrapped up the Flint & Cook Marches League Divi-sion 2 title with a 42-run home win over Hay in a high-scoring match.
Wellington posted a formidable 272-7, thanks to contributions from Jamie Williams (43), Chris Stokes (37), Steve Fortey (36), Adam Chalkley (35) and Chris Fry (31).
Mike Carlisle struck an entertaining 116 in Hay's 230-7 but it was not enough to stop the villagers capturing the crown.
Glangrwyney appear to have secured the runners-up spot in Division 2 after an unbeaten 136 from Paul Cornock set up the home club's comprehensive 95-run win over rivals Builth Wells.
Glangrwyney amassed a daunting 287-6 and restricted the visitors to 192-6.
Luctonians 3rd sealed the Division 3 title after a crushing 130-run home victory over struggling Crickhowell 2nd, while Monmouth 2nd and Woolhope are challenging for the runners-up spot.
The challenge for the top two places in Division 3 is also going to wire, with Goodrich 2nd, Shobdon 2nd and Luctonians 4th all appearing in contention.
