KEEPER Matt Baker remains doubtful for Hereford United's clash at Farnborough Town tonight (7.45).

Despite extra rest at the weekend after the Dagenham match was postponed the Bulls' number one is struggling with an ankle injury and deputy Lee Evans is standing by to make his second appearance of the season.

Baker's absence would be a blow to the side with the youngster having missed only one match all season and his form has been a boost to the club after Scott Cooksey's struggle with a wrist injury which eventually forced him to quit the game.

Player/coach Phil Robinson has recovered from a calf injury and should play having planned a return against the Daggers.

While the Edgar Street club counts the cost of Saturday's scrapped match off the field, on the pitch the decision to postpone the game has played into the hands of several players who were carrying injuries.

Robinson has been boosted by the news defenders Ian Wright, Matt Clarke (hamstring) and midfielder Scott Goodwin (stomach) have all shrugged off knocks - all are fit having trained yesterday.

"We were looking forward to playing at the weekend but obviously couldn't because of the situation but one advantage has been that it has allowed players with a few niggles a bit of extra time to recover," said Robinson.

"After two league defeats we need to get back to winning ways and we will be looking to do that tonight.

"Farnborough are a strong side with good players like Gary Patterson, captain of the non-league international team, and they play attacking football which will make it tough for us."

Graham Westley's side are three points above Hereford but their record at the John Roberts Ground is not brilliant with seven losses compared to just six wins including defeats in their last two home matches against Yeovil Town and Woking.

Formcast: Point each 1-1.
