HEREFORD United need eleven captains in their bid to avoid being dragged into a relegation battle says Edgar Street player/coach Phil Robinson.
Club skipper Ian Wright has chipped in with some valuable goals of late but Robinson expects all his players to be acting as captains.
"In this sort of situation when things are going wrong you need 11 captains out on the pitch and we all need to get the best out of each other," he said.
Meanwhile Robinson revealed he plans to carry on playing for a further two seasons at least despite his increased responsibilities as player/coach.
The former Wolves and Notts County star is an influential figure in the Bulls' midfield and he has no intention of hanging up his boots yet.
Despite the demands of playing and coaching, Robinson relishes the challenge and still believes he has a lot to offer.
"I would sooner be out there adding my experience to the team," he said.
"It is hard when things are not going well and if somebody makes a mistake I get the blame the same as if I'd made a mistake but I still enjoy it.
"It's a testing time and though it can be tough I enjoy a challenge and would sooner be out in the middle than watching from the sidelines.
"Anybody who has watched us will know I am still one of the fittest players and I plan to play on for another couple of seasons."
Off the pitch defender Tony James has handed the cash-strapped club a boost by signing a new two year deal.
"The club has always been very good to me and I have always felt that I have tried my best ," he said.
Striker Gavin Williams is set to have talks with the club after being offered a new contract.
